Situated in a converted warehouse in the inner city suburb of Newstead, The Golden Pig Restaurant and Cooking School is the brainchild of husband and wife duo Katrina and Mark Ryan. Katrina worked at Yandina's Spirit House and was head chef at Neil Perry's Rockpool Sydney, while Mark was owner of The Pig & The Olive in Sydney and was also head chef at The Bathers Pavilion. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 5.30 and they offer both hands on and demonstration classes including Thai classics, French decadence and Italian essentials. The Golden Pig is also available for weddings, parties or private and corporate events; guest capacity is for 80 seated and up to 200
