James is a neighbourhood wine bar and Japanese-edged restaurant on Clarendon Street in South Melbourne. By day, James is under the moniker of Wynard Café, churning out coffee and an Asian inspired all day menu but after 3pm, this understated yet elegant destination serves a concise wine, cocktail and spirit selection. The menu echoes the same vibe as Wynard café with a generous vegetarian offering. The tempura eggplant and chicken bao both come highly recommended.
