Oakleigh's Eton Mall is home to Vanilla Lounge, the al fresco eatery overlooking the mall, where shoppers can take a load off over plates of house-baked sweets, coffee and meals with a Mediterranean bent. The venue's more upmarket eatery, Vanilla Upstairs, offers a range of dishes from chicken schnitzel to spaghetti bolognese, as well as specialty options from the coal-fired ovens, like whole baby snapper and gyros-style chicken platters.
