About the restaurant

In the Queensland beachside suburb of Burleigh Heads, Restaurant Labart is a modern Australian restaurant with serious kitchen credentials. Co-owner Alex Munoz Labart, the former head chef of Monopole and Cirrus Dining, who also lists some of Sydney’s most esteemed fine dining restaurants including Est., Marque and Bilson’s on his resume, has opened this small 60-seater with his wife, Karla. From the design of the restaurant through the menu, things are kept simple but simple doesn’t mean it’s anything short of impressive. At the heart of the kitchen are two Japanese barbecues and Alex sources the best local ingredients.
