About the restaurant
Surry Hills has another small bar and it's taking off with a uniquely Japanese approach to drinks and cocktails. Tokyo Bird is located on Commonwealth Street but accessed via Belmore Lane, so you can feel like you're entering the yakitori scene from off the beaten track. On the menu is Japanese beer, whiskey and sake, plus a cocktail list featuring seasonal fruit that changes fornightly. Food hasn't been forgotten here; the Japanese bar snacks on offer are fantastically flavoursome and easy on your hip pocket.
