About the restaurant
Its name conjures up images of a grungy subterreanean bar, but The Rice Den is one of the North Shore's most chicly-designed restaurants. The stylishly appointed St Leonards dining room serves contemporary Cantonese dishes alongside The Rice Den Lager and a range of Asian cocktails. Specialty dishes include Hong Kong-style French toast with maple mascarpone and soft shell crab with mung bean noodle hotpot. The kitchen also has its own range of teas, sauces and vinegars for sale.
