About the restaurant

On Newtown's main strip Cafe Paci on King Street is a unique Eastern European/Finnish restaurant. Chef Pasi Petanen, whose original, award-winning cafe in East Sydney opened to high praise in 2013 is now in the Inner West. Unlike the original, his Newtown restaurant offers a flexible menu that includes small starters to larger dishes. For the complete experience, grab a seat in the dining room. A few standouts may include potato dumplings with trout XO sauce pickled kingfish with potatoes (a very Finnish summer dish) and pan-fried flounder with florentine sauce.
