About the restaurant
Mary’s Underground is a French bistro in Circular Quay in the former location of Sydney’s music sweetheart, The Basement. From Mary's hospitality duo Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham, Mary’s Underground will continue The Basement's commitment to live music, with gigs running every night (except Sunday). The restaurant serves classic French bistro fare while a 30-seat Clam Bar, will serve wine and oysters out the back with a dedicated chef shucking and serving fresh seafood to order. For something more casual (and kinder on the wallet), you can always pop up to Mary’s Circular Quay upstairs for one of their five burgers and there’s even a vegan option, too.
