Patina at Customs House
About experience

Dwarfed by modern towers of glass and steel, Customs House still shines like a beacon on the banks of the Brisbane River. With work commencing in 1886, Customs House is an imposing and rare surviving masterpiece of colonial architecture.
This grand old building has been beautifully restored and maintained by the University of Queensland and today serves as a cultural, educational and heritage facility. Behind the Corinthian columns, you will find exquisite boardrooms, a stunning ballroom, and a licensed restaurant. The relaxed dining ambience is popular with tourists, business clients and local customers.
