In the student enclave around Marcus Clarke Street in Canberra's CBD is Roti House, a genuinely Malaysian restaurant that's easy on the hip pocket. Padded benches line the room and a large chandelier throws light onto the red walls. Of course, roti is on the menu, and it's pretty tasty. Make sure you try the traditional Malaysian drinks on offer, like the sweet milky tea served hot and frothy or cold over ice.
